Terms of Use

Stayd is the one weekly habit that keeps couples close. These terms explain the rules of the road.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Quinten Gish ("we", "us", "our") for your use of the Stayd mobile application and any related services (together, "Stayd" or the "Service"). By creating an account or using Stayd, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Stayd.

1. Who can use Stayd

You must be at least eighteen years old to create a Stayd account. By using Stayd, you represent that you are at least eighteen and that you are using Stayd for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, email quinten@quintengish.com right away.

3. What Stayd does

Stayd helps couples build a weekly habit of sitting down together, sharing a short inventory of what they love and what they want to grow in, and then receiving daily nudges pulled from their own words. Stayd is not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or medical care. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal

Stayd offers two auto-renewing subscription options, sold through the Apple App Store:

• Monthly: billed each month at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.
• Yearly: billed each year at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least twenty-four hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within twenty-four hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the selected plan. A single subscription covers both paired partners.

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access until that date. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

6. Your content

Everything you write in Stayd, your inventories, commitments, and anything else you enter, is your content. You own it. By using Stayd, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit your content solely to operate the Service for you and your paired partner. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we will not use it to train artificial intelligence models or share it with advertisers.

You are responsible for the content you write. Do not enter content that is unlawful, infringing, or intended to harass another person.

7. Acceptable use

When using Stayd, you agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Use Stayd to harass, threaten, or harm another person, including your paired partner.
• Attempt to access another account or bypass the security rules of the database.
• Use Stayd in any way that violates applicable law.

8. Pairing and shared content

Stayd is designed for two people. When you pair with a partner, certain parts of your Stayd content become visible to that partner, because the product only works when both of you can see what the other wrote. Do not pair with someone you do not trust to read those parts of your content.

9. Termination

You can stop using Stayd at any time by deleting your account from Settings inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. If your account is terminated, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

Stayd is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars, whichever is greater.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app. Continued use of Stayd after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
