Inner Voice AI ("we", "our", "us") operates the Inner Voice mobile application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Information We Collect
- Voice Recordings: When you record a journal entry, your audio is uploaded to our secure servers for transcription and analysis. Audio is processed and not stored permanently after transcription.
- Transcripts & Analysis: Your transcribed text, mood analysis, themes, and AI observations are stored in your account to provide the journaling experience.
- Account Information: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID and optionally your name and email.
- Usage Data: We collect basic analytics about app usage to improve the experience.
How We Use Your Information
- To transcribe your voice recordings (via OpenAI Whisper API)
- To analyze your entries and generate AI observations (via Anthropic Claude API)
- To generate weekly mind reports showing your patterns
- To maintain your streak and journal history
- To process subscription payments (via RevenueCat/Apple)
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase: Database and authentication (data stored in US)
- OpenAI: Audio transcription via Whisper API
- Anthropic: AI analysis via Claude API
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
- Apple: Sign-in and payment processing
Your voice recordings and transcripts are sent to OpenAI and Anthropic for processing. These services process the data according to their respective privacy policies and do not use your data to train their models.
Data Retention
Your journal entries, transcripts, and reports are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from our servers.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (available in the app)
- Delete your data (Settings > Delete Account & Data)
- Cancel your subscription at any time
Children's Privacy
Inner Voice is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
